Davits, Solar Panels, Monitor Windvane, Swim/Dive platform and ladder

Lucky enough to have found a master machinist/fabricator years ago, I began designing custom parts for Memory Rose.  Everything was built of 316 L stainless steel.

First came a swim/dive platform and ladder to egress the water.  Heavy wall tubing with a starboard surface and grab rail aft and underneath.

The transom underwent a process of evolution, beginning with special davits.  I needed davits that could not be found on the open market, because all standard davits had to attach to the custom 30" tall push-pit around the aft end of the cockpit, which would prohibit me from using the sheeting system for the Mizzen sail.

I needed 'clearance' for those sheeting lines.  I finally figured out a design that allowed total clearance for the mizzen sheeting system as well as clearance for the late model 316 stainless steel Monitor wind vane I was going to install.

Another 'need' was the ability to design into this, a 3 panel array of high end 85 watt solar panels that could be rotated to follow the sun.
The ability to rotate the solar panels as the day progressed, produced 10-25% more output by aligning these panels to get direct sunlight.

We lived most comfortably off of Solar and filtered Rain Water for all of our cruising.
