Launch Day
After a month of aggressive work, we got a break in the weather and were able to launch Monday morning. Getting the last coats of bottom paint and boot stripe paint on was critical as you cannot paint when there are downpours. The yard's huge fork lift and trailer transports us from the work area to the launch slip.
The sides of the boat were prepped for protection where the lifting straps would ride... with plastic. All worked smoothly.
Down the road we go!
Memory Rose was gently lowered into the water.
The engine started after sleeping for 9 months and we had no problems getting into our assigned slip. Twas a good day.
We then took a long deserved nap. I hardly slept in anticipation during the night preceeding the launch.
