Depth Transducer Fairing Block/Fiberglass

Depth Transducers do better if mounted in a 'Down' position/facing earth's bottomland. I doubt anyone questions this.

Under our boat in '94, I took steps to add what was normally then called a 'Fairing Block' (a block of wood shaped to 'allow the water to slip by the transducer and FILL the space..so that the transducer bottom/at a diffent angle from the hull, was actually aimed at the Earth's Bottom!) Good concept, other than using wood, I thought.

I molded a "Fiberglass Block", then bonded it with more epoxy resin and then faired it in etc. No more 'sacrificial wood' !
